What should I have ready when I call?

Have your property address, a rough idea of your roof's age, and a short description of the problem — a leak, missing shingles, or suspected hail damage. If you have already filed an insurance claim, keep the claim number handy. Photos taken safely from the ground also help us understand the situation quickly.

• Your address and the city (Lubbock, Abilene, or Midland)
• What you are seeing: water stains, drips, missing shingles, dented gutters, or debris
• When it started, and whether a storm came through recently
• Roughly how old the roof is, and what it is made of if you know
• Your insurance claim number, if you have already opened a claim

Calling after a storm

After a big hailstorm, phone lines get busy. Calling early in the day gives the best chance of a same-day response. If water is actively coming in, move valuables away from the leak, catch the water, keep people away from any sagging ceiling, and do not climb onto a wet or storm-damaged roof.
